The Galway United Friends Co-op Committee (Board of Directors) is elected each year at our Annual General Meeting in accordance with the rule 11 of the co-operative rules. You can read the full rules here.
All Board members must be members of the society, and one third of the existing board must step down at every AGM.
Our outgoing secretary, Martin Neville, decided to step down from the Committee. James Brennan, John Gannon and Kenneth Keady also stepped down, but sought re-election at the AGM. The Committee members who were co-opted since the previous AGM also had their appointments confirmed at the meeting.
There were also changes to the executive roles, with Brian Reidy assuming the role of Chairperson, and Dominick Walsh taking on the role of Secretary. Kenneth Keady was also elected to the new role of vice-Chairperson.
So, the committee in full is:
